WWW Virtual Library on Livestock: Beef Cattle Resources
The WWW Virtual Library on Livestock is a new directory that Larry Burditt
of Oklahoma State University established in May of 1995. Even though it's been
up only a few months, the site is getting 1,000 hits a week and that number is
rapidly growing. "My goal is to provide a central site with listings to livestock
information all over the world," says Larry who is an animal scientist working
as a systems analyst for OSU's Department of Animal Sciences. "Because of the
wide variety of ways that information has been made available on the Internet
it's not always easy to locate the individual pieces of information. The library
provides a common layout for people and hopefully makes it much easier to find
information." Larry's page on beef cattle resources lists over 40 sites. The livestock
library is an offspring of CERN's Virtual Library on Agriculture
which itself is an offspring of CERN's
Virtual Library on everything.
