Fresno, CA and Westminster, CO. - AgPRonline - July 10, 2002, SD - BEELINE Technologies Inc. and Raven Industries (Nasdaq: RAVN) today announced a product-based licensing agreement. Under this agreement, Raven will enter the agricultural steering assist market with the Raven TRUE LINE Steering System utilizing BEELINE Steering Assist® technology and the Raven VIPER system as a simple user interface. This product allows Raven to integrate BEELINE's advanced navigation technology with its precision control technology. Raven is the world leader in application control systems for agriculture, and a leading provider of GPS guidance equipment and technology. BEELINE is the pioneer in steering assist systems for agriculture utilizing advanced software solutions and GPS/INS technology.

The Raven TRUE LINE Steering System, powered by BEELINE Technology, will utilize BEELINE's proprietary software to offer users the most precise steering assist system on the market. BEELINE's copyrighted steering software will be loaded onto Raven's VIPER system to create a simple, user-friendly, touch screen interface. The TRUE LINE Steering System will be marketed through Raven's distribution network, and is expected for delivery by this fall.

Raven's TRUE LINE Steering System will provide steering solutions for numerous agricultural markets. Both custom applicators and growers can benefit from steering assist technology, because better planting and application efficiency and accuracy goes directly to their bottom line. In addition, the VIPER system will become the user interface for the TRUE LINE Steering System, allowing operators to use the same device for application control as well as steering assist guidance. Also, the VIPER will allow users to wirelessly transmit application maps and data-logged files to a central location from the field.

"The agreement with Raven expands our distribution for systems powered by BEELINE technology," said Doug Merrill, Vice President - American Operations, BEELINE Technologies. "Raven is well known and respected in both the custom application and grower markets through their application control and traditional lightbar guidance systems, and their association with BEELINE will definitely help us increase the penetration of our technology in the North American steering assist market."

According to Dan Rykhus, Vice President and General Manager of Raven's Flow Controls Division, "The alliance and licensing agreement with BEELINE advances Raven's product line and illustrates our commitment to precision agriculture. BEELINE is the pioneer and global leader in this market, and we are delighted to be associated with their technology. We believe the Raven TRUE LINE Steering System creates an integrated solution for our customers. They will be able to utilize the BEELINE technology with our VIPER system, creating a system that allows them to have excellent steering assist performance, precision application control, CAN technology and numerous other features through the same interface."

Raven Industries has 22 years of experience in the development of solutions for agriculture, ranging from flow control technology to GPS applications. These new innovations from Raven make chemical application, planting, and fertilizing easier and more affordable.
